Romania has a population of approximately 20 million people with around 30% employed in the agricultural sector. The country has an agricultural capacity of 14.7 million hectares. Around 80% of agricultural machinery is either outdated or unusable.

We will be leading a delegation of Israeli HLS companies to Bulgaria and Romania for business meetings with decision makers in the sector.

The delegation will be headed by former Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev, and will spend two days in Bulgaria, followed by two days in Romania. The delegation will meet with government officials, senior defense industry officials, military, police and security commanders, as well as senior aviation and maritime officials1.1 billion euros for upgrading agricultural machinery and transitioning to advanced technologies.

 

3.4 billion euros for upgrading irrigation systems and water transit solutions

 

The European Union has provided a grant of 3.8 billion euros for upgrading infrastructures.

 

 

The delegation will meet with:

– The Romanian Minister of Agriculture and

  senior ministry representatives

–  Senior industry officials and 20 Representatives of the largest farms (over 300 Acre)     in  the country

– Romanian agricultural organizations.
